VANE Youth Camp 2025 - Anchored

══════════════════════════⊹⊱≼≽⊰⊹══════════════════════════

VANE Youth Camp 2025 was held from Friday, May 23rd to Monday, May 26th during Memorial Day weekend at Summit Grove Camp & Conference Center. The theme “Anchored” (Hebrews 6:19) was the focus for this weekend. Our guest speaker, Pastor Thinh from Georgia, shared about the importance of fellowship and gathering, spiritual resilience, and unwavering trust in Jesus especially through life’s trials. Youth were reminded of the urgency to stay rooted in God’s truth, the danger of spiritual drift, and the power and presence of our Everlasting God, even when life is painful and confusing.

Sermon topics included:

  1. Fellowship in Christ (Acts 2:42-47)

  2. Anchored in Christ (Hebrews 6:16-20)

  3. The Everlasting God (Isaiah 40:28-31)

  4. To Whom Shall I Go? (John 6:60-69)

  5. Don’t Drift (Hebrews 2:1-4)

Worship anchored our hearts in God’s presence. This year, we were blessed by Saugus and Philly Church who led praise through songs of surrender, strength, and hope.

Each morning began with devotion, helping campers center their hearts on God's truth before the day began. Mark (Noel) Cielo and Thomas Tran reminded us that Jesus must be our anchor in every season. Mark shared that God uses trials and storms in our lives to show us that the only foundation worth building our lives on is Him (Matthew 7:24-27; Mark 4:35-41). Thomas emphasized God’s promises and provision for those who seek His Kingdom first (Matthew 6:33) assuring that all needs will be met and all things will be added.

We also had workshops led by Jonathan and Emily Luu (“Following Jesus Doesn’t Make Sense”) and June Tran and Nathanael Tran (“Anchored in Holiness”).

Finally, the roll calls, skits and team building activities brought campers together in laughter, competition and teamwork, building camaraderie and new friendships across churches. Congratulations this year to Group 6 for 1st place and Group 1 for 2nd place. We are thankful to the Lord for another year of youth camp and the wonderful kitchen and camp staff that took care of us. Praise God for being our anchor, our rest and our hope!
